Mandi teams up with Dorothy Pam and Pam Rooney on Medicare for All
I am a big believer in collaboration, even with Councilors that I don’t often agree with. So, I am proud to have teamed up with fellow colleagues Dorothy Pam and Pam Rooney in support of Medicare for All. 88% of Amherst voters gave their support to creating single-payer health care in 2018.
For the potential impact on the Town, the Gazette article says it nicely: “The town budget may reap the savings from a single payer health care system for its employees that would allow the town to reallocate taxpayer money away from health insurance costs and into other programs, expenses, and investments for the town.”
