Amherst Firefighters Local 1764 Endorse Mandi Jo for Town Council
The Amherst Firefighters Local 1764 have endorsed Mandi for Town Council: “Councilor Hanneke has been instrumental in assisting us in gaining much needed equipment through ARPA or ensuring funds are being secured for a new fire station. Ms. Hanneke has made the fire department a priority which benefits all residents and visitors of Amherst. We are grateful for her support and looking forward to hopefully working with her for another term!”
I thank the Local for their support and for the amazing service they provide to residents and visitors. If re-elected, I look forward to continuing to advocate for increased staffing, building a new headquarters as swiftly as possible (including figuring out if there are ways to build it without waiting for the DPW to be built), and ensuring that needed equipment is funded through our capital program.
